[Bug] Pressing shift keys simultaneously, VICE sometimes "forgets" releasing them

The information in this article applies to the following versions of VICE:

all architectures of VICE up to (and including) 1.13 on Windows plattforms

SYMPTOMS

For example, you do this:

Press and hold left shift key
Press right shift key and release it
Release the left shift key

Now, VICE thinks the left shift key is still pressed. You need to press it again to release it.

CAUSE

There is a bug in VICE.

SOLUTION

Wait for a newer version of VICE.

STATUS

The VICE team has confirmed this to be a bug in the VICE versions listed at the beginning of this article. It will get corrected in a subsequent version.
