[Bug] stereo SID checkbox is cleared whenever sound settings are changed

The information in this article applies to the following versions of VICE:

SYMPTOMS

If you enable stereo SID support with any emulator that supports this and you change something in the sound settings (for example, sample frequency), the stereo SID checkbox is cleared.

SOLUTION

Use another version of the VICE emulator if you need to use stereo SID support on Windows.

STATUS

The VICE team has confirmed this to be a problem in the VICE versions listed at the beginning of this article. It has been corrected in all subsequent versions
