[Bug] x128 Z80 (CP/M) emulation is broken with VICE 1.15

The information in this article applies to the following versions of VICE:

SYMPTOMS

In the version listed above, x128 does not start in CP/M-mode. It crashes without prior notice. The message "booting" flashes, but VICE terminates immediately.

SOLUTION

Wait for a new version of VICE, or use an older one (1.14 or before).

STATUS

The VICE team has confirmed this to be a bug in the VICE versions listed at the beginning of this article. It has been corrected in all subsequent versions
