[Bug] Problems with c1541
The information in this article applies to the following versions of VICE:
- VICE 1.14 on all plattforms; older ones might be affected, too
SYMPTOMS
Using VICE 1.14 or older editions, possibly, you have the following problems:
- In interactive mode, c1541 doesn't accept any commands. For example, if you
enter help, you get this response: ' unrecognized. Try `help'.
The "quit" command fails for the same reason, so you have to exit the program with Ctrl-C.
This bug does not affect shell commands in interactive mode. - The command write ignores its "destination" parameter
CAUSE
These are bugs in the versions listed above.
WORKAROUND
Use a new version of c1541, or wait for a newer version of VICE.
STATUS
The VICE team has confirmed this to be a bug in the VICE versions listed at the beginning of this article. It has been corrected in all subsequent versions
